Protecting the health and safety of our people and those living and working in close proximity to our works is our highest priority.
CEP recognises that Health and Safety at Work is the primary responsibility of our company, and therefore we undertake to meet the statutory obligations and to do everything possible to prevent injury and maintain a safe environment at work.
As employers, we are responsible for the Health, Safety and Welfare of our employees and people affected by our activities, which is recognised within our Health and Safety policy. This names the Managing Director as the person appointed responsible for the implementation of Health and Safety with regard to the company’s undertakings, such as safe demolition and the safe removal of asbestos.
It is recognised to deliver this a team effort is required. To assist in coordinating this, CEP engage the services of a qualified Health and Safety Advisor providing access to the latest information and back up. We invest in specialist internal support, continually reviewing existing practices to implement new guidelines and policies when required.
Every project is subject to a detailed risk assessment and method statement procedure before commencement and rigorous on-site audit processes when underway. We cascade health and safety guidelines, best practice and policies throughout our organisation and encourage our people to pay an active part in the health and safety improvement process.
Our aim, quite simply, is to continuously reduce the number of accidents on our sites to zero.
